See which prospects performed the best last week.
Check out a quick look at a hitter and pitcher who performed at the top of the Astros system in the last week of baseball.
HITTER:
Joseph Sullivan – Sullivan was the Astros 7th round in 2024 pick out of the University of South Alabama. The 22-year-old has had a strong season so far and was even better this week. In four games this week for Asheville, he hit .429 with 2 doubles and a home run while collecting 4 stolen bases. Overall this season, Sullivan has 15 HR, 31 SB and 61 walks over 69 games for High-A Asheville. He’s quickly turned into a top 10 prospect in the Astros system.
PITCHER:
Juan Bello – The Astros acquired Bello in the deal that sent Ryan Pressly to the Cubs this past off-season. Following a strong 2024, Bello got off to a rough start in 2025. Fortunately, he has turned it around recently. This week he went 5 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 8 in his one start for Asheville. Over his last 10 outings, the right-hander has posted a 2.72 ERA. He could be in line for a promotion to Double-A soon.
