AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (9-4) won 16-2 (BOX SCORE)

Bastidas got the scoring started in the 2nd inning with a 2 run HR. The offense added 4 runs in the 4th on solo HRs from Loperfido and Cabbage and two runs scoring on an Amaya single. Kouba got the start and went 3.2 innings allowing 2 unearned runs with 6 strikeouts. The offense blew it open in the 7th scoring 9 runs on a Loperfido 2 run HR, Leon RBI double, Bastidas RBI single, Amaya RBI single and a Loperfido grand slam… yes, he homered twice in the 7th inning. The bullpen was great tossing 5.1 scoreless innings to close it out.

Note: Loperfido has 9 HR, 22 RBI in 10 games this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (1-6) lost 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Santos started for the Hooks and was solid until the 4th where a couple errors led to 5 runs. The Hooks lone run came on Sacco sac fly in the 7th. Fleury allowed 2 runs over 4 innings in relief but the offense was quiet as the Hooks fell 7-1.

Note: Sacco is hitting .391 this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (4-2) won 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville jumped out to an early lead scoring 6 runs in the first on a Johnson grand slam and a Williams 2 run double. Batista got the start and was great tossing 5 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. The offense got another in the 3rd inning on a Whitaker RBI double. Taylor closed the game out allowing 1 run over the final 4 innings while striking out 6 as Asheville won 7-1.

Note: Batista has 10 K in 9 innings with a 0.00 ERA this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (4-3) lost 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Tredwell made his professional debut and went 2.1 innings allowing 4 runs while striking out 3. Soto also pitched in relief allowing 3 runs over 3 innings. The offense got a run in the 7th on an Encarnacion RBI double but that was it as the Woodpeckers fell 7-1.
