The Hooks got on the board in the third inning on a Barber sac fly. Mancini got the start and was solid allowing 2 runs over 5 innings of work. In the 6th, Wrobleski tied the game on a run scoring single. The game went into the 9th tied but Knorr allowed a run as Frisco took the lead. The offense went down in order in the 9th as the Hooks fell 3-2.

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first inning scoring 2 runs on a Spence run scoring double and Trujillo RBI single. Tredwell got the start and had a solid first two innings before allowing 3 runs in the 3rd. After another run in the 4th, the Woodpeckers responded with a Hernandez 2 run HR to tie it. The Hillcats added a couple more to take the lead. The Woodpeckers got one more run in the 7th on an error. Apker had a scoreless outing in relief but the offense was unable to score again as the Woodpeckers fell 6-5.
