AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (10-13) lost 10-3 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first getting a run on a Short solo HR. Blubaugh got the start but struggled allowing 5 runs in 3 innings. He was relieved by Kouba who also allowed 5 runs. The offense got two back in the 4th on Price and Corona solo HRs. The pen tossed some scoreless innings but the offense was unable to score again as they fell 10-3.

Note: Short has a .955 OPS this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (4-13) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

Santos started for the Hooks and tossed 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. He was relieved by Dombroski who allowed 3 runs over 3 innings of work. The offense got on the board in the 7th on a Sherwin RBI single and then got another run in the 8th on a Barber RBI double. Frisco added on some runs in the 9th and the Hooks were unable to rally as the Hooks fell 6-2.

Game 1 – won 9-5 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville got on the board in the first inning scoring five runs with two coming on an error and 3 runs on a Vogel 3 run HR. Guedez got the start and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned. The offense got another run in the 4th on a Bush RBI single. In the bottom of the 6th, the offense got 3 more runs on an Austin 2 run double and Whitaker sac fly. Gillis allowed 3 runs, 2 earned but closed out the 9-5 win.

Game 2 – won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville got on the board in the first inning on a Jaworsky leadoff homer. Urias got the start and pitched well allowing 1 run over 4 innings while striking out 5. The Renegades got a run in the 8th to take the lead but the offense responded with a run in the bottom of the inning on a Guillemette RBI single. The game went into extra innings and in the 10th, Sullivan walked it off with an RBI single as Asheville won 3-2.

Note: Sullivan has 18 walks and 8 SB this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (7-10) lost 9-7 (BOX SCORE)

Ogando started for the Woodpeckers and went 2 innings allowing 2 runs. The offense got a run in the 3rd on an error. In the third, Carrillo gave the Woodpeckers the lead with a 3 run HR. The offense got 2 more in the 6th on Villarroel and Carrillo RBI singles. The Hillcats took the lead scoring four runs on Almonte. Villarroel tied it up with an RBI double but the Hillcats took the lead again in the 8th. The offense was unable to rally in the 9th as the Woodpeckers fell 9-7.
