AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (11-14) lost 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Matthews got the scoring started with a solo HR in the first inning. In the 2nd inning, Matthews added a sac fly. Ullola got the start but struggled allowing 3 runs over 3.1 innings. The bullpen was great tossing 4.2 scoreless innings but the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 3-2.

Note: Ort has a 2.84 ERA this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (5-14) won 6-4 (BOX SCORE)

Fleury started for the Hook and was solid allowing 2 runs over 4.2 innings while striking out 6. The Hooks got on the board in the 2nd inning on an Encarnacion RBI single. In the 3rd, Jordan gave the Hooks the lead with a 3 run HR. Garcia added 2 more runs in the 6th on a 2 run single. The bullpen allowed a couple of runs but held on for the 6-4 win.

A+: Asheville Tourists (8-10) lost 3-0 (BOX SCORE)

Swiney started for Asheville and allowed 3 runs over 4 innings of work. The pen was solid with Rodriguez tossing 3 scoreless innings and Leach striking out 4 over 2 scoreless innings. The offense struggled though collecting just 3 singles as they were shutout in the 3-0 loss.

Note: Leach has a 1.93 ERA this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (8-11) won 9-6 (BOX SCORE)

Rodriguez started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well tossing 5 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts. The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 6th inning on a Brutcher RBI triple. After the Woodpeckers fell behind 2-1, they responded with 7 runs in the 7th inning on a Trimble RBI double, Powell 2 run single, Holy RBI single, Brutcher 2 run double and a run scoring on a wild pitch. The Woodpeckers got one more in the 9th on a Villarroel RBI single. Cruz allowed 6 runs over the final 4 innings but held on for the 9-6 win.
