AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (40-42) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

Brown started for Sugar Land and allowed 4 runs over 4.1 innings. The offense got on the board in the 6th on a Castro 2 run single. The pen allowed a couple more runs and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 6-2.

Note: Barber has a .790 OPS in Triple-A.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (25-50) lost 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got on the board in the 4th inning on a Martinez RBI single. The Hooks picked up 3 more runs in the 5th on a Willits RBI double, Cole RBI groundout and Diaz RBI single. Pecko got the start and pitched really well tossing 5 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. The Hooks got another run on an error in the 7th but the pen struggled allowing 5 runs as the Missions tied it. The game went to extras and in the 10th, Martinez connected on an RBI single to get the lead. In the bottom of the 10th, the Missions rallied for 2 runs as they walked off for the win.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (41-35) won 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board scoring 2 runs in the first inning on a Holy sac fly and Luciano RBI single. Howard got the start for the Woodpeckers and allowed 2 runs over 3 innings. The offense got another run in the 4th on a Villarroel RBI single and one more in the 5th on a Hernandez sac fly. McPherson pitched the 5th but struggled allowing 4 runs. The Woodpeckers rallied for 3 runs in the 8th on a Fisher solo HR, Villarroel RBI single and Villarroel scoring on a wild pitch. Smith tossed 2.1 scoreless innings in relief to keep the Mudcats at bay. Brown closed it out with 2 scoreless innings as the Woodpeckers won 7-6.

Note: Brown has a 2.35 ERA this season.
