AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (51-46) won 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first inning scoring 2 runs on RBI singles from Diaz and Price. They got 3 more runs in the 2nd inning on a Melton RBI double, Bastidas RBI single and Diaz RBI double. Hamilton added an RBI double in the 3rd. Javier made a rehab start and went 2.2 innings allowing 1 run with 1 strikeout. Brown allowed 1 run over 3.1 innings in relief. The offense got one more in the 7th on a Price RBI triple. The pen closed it out with 3 scoreless as Sugar Land won 7-2.

Note: Melton has a .902 OPS in Triple-A.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (33-59) won 11-0 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got the scoring started in the 3rd inning scoring 6 runs on a Sullivan 2 run HR, Cole 2 run double, Austin RBI groundout and a run scoring on a passed ball. In the 4th they got 3 more runs on RBI singles from Sullivan and Martinez and a Guillemette RBI groundout. Pecko got the start and pitched well tossing 5 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. In the 8th inning, Sullivan added an RBI double and Guillemette added an RBI single as the Hooks extended the lead. Guilfoil and Bido tossed 2 scoreless each to close it out.

A+: Asheville Tourists (39-52) lost 2-0 (BOX SCORE)

Bello started for Asheville and tossed 3 scoreless innings. After Tucker allowed 2 runs, David came in and tossed 3 scoreless innings. The offense struggled though collecting just 5 hits as they were shutout in the 2-0 loss.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (48-43) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first on a Villarroel steal of home. They picked up another run in the 3rd on a Valencia solo HR. Rodriguez got the start and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs. Frias allowed 3 runs in relief and the Woodpeckers’ offense was quite the rest of the way as they fell 5-2.
