AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (51-47) lost 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first on a Castro 2 run single. They got 2 more in the 2nd inning on RBI singles from Hamilton and Bastidas. Blubaugh got the start and went 4.2 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned. The pen kept the game close until the 1oth when El Paso walked it off as Sugar Land fell 5-4.

Note: Scott has a 1.00 ERA in Triple-A.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (33-60) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Arrighetti started for the Hooks and lasted 3.2 innings allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, with 2 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 3rd on a Sullivan RBI groundout and Martinez RBI single. Arrighetti was relieved by Sanchez who allowed a run as the Hooks were down 4-2. The offense got one back in the 4th on a Williams groundout. Mayer went 5 scoreless in relief but the offense was unable to rally as the Hooks fell 4-3.

Note: Mayer has a 3.38 ERA this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (39-53) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

Pinto got the start and allowed 4 runs over 3.2 innings. The offense got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Blomgren solo HR. Mikulski relieved Pinto and allowed 2 runs over 1.2 innings. The offense picked up another run in the 8th on an error but that would be it as Asheville fell 6-2.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (49-43) won 5-0 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Powell RBI double. They got 2 more runs in the 4th on Trimble and Perez RBI singles. Rodriguez got the start and tossed 4 scoreless innings. He was relieved by Rosario who threw 3 scoreless. The offense added 2 more runs in the 7th on a fielder’s choice and Fisher sac fly. Smith closed it out with 2 scoreless as the Woodpeckers won 5-0.

Note: Powell has a .778 OPS this season.
