AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (43-42) POSTPONED

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (29-50) won 8-2 (BOX SCORE)

Mayer got the start and pitched well striking out 6 over 5 innings while allowing 1 run in his Double-A debut. The offense got on the board with 4 runs in the 2nd inning on a Wrobleski 3 run double and Garcia RBI single. They scored 2 more runs in the 3rd inning on a Sacco 2 run single. In the 4th, Martinez added an RBI single. Cole stayed hot connecting on a solo HR in the 8th, his 7th homer over his last 6 games. Urias went the final 4 innings allowing 1 run as the Hooks won 8-2.

Note: Mayer has 81 K over 63.2 innings this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (35-43) lost 11-4 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville got on the board in the first on a wild pitch and then got 3 runs in the 2nd inning on Whitaker and Jaworsky RBI singles and a Spence sac fly. True got the start but struggled allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, over 3.2 innings of work. The pen struggled too allowing 7 runs over the next 4 innings. The offense was unable to score again as Asheville fell 11-4.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (42-38) won 10-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Valencia 3 run HR. In the 3rd inning, the offense added 2 more runs on a steal and a throwing error. Palmer got the start for the Woodpeckers and pitched well striking out 5 over 3 scoreless innings. The offense added 4 more runs in 6th inning on a Valencia RBI single, Salas 2 run double and Hernandez RBI groundout. Ogando relieved Palmer and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs. Salas added another run in the 7th on an RBI single. Smith closed it out with 2 scoreless innings as the Woodpeckers won 10-2.
