Blubaugh started for Sugar Land and allowed 4 runs over 6 innings, with 3 of those runs coming in the first on a 3 run HR. The offense got a run in the first inning on a Trammell solo HR. Contreras struggled in relief allowing 3 runs and the offense was unable to get anything else going as Sugar Land fell 7-1.

The pen was great with Mikulski tossing 3 scoreless innings. Gomez put Asheville in the lead with an RBI single in the 12th. Tucker closed it out with 3 scoreless innings as Asheville won 3-2.

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Hernandez solo HR. Ogando got the start and went 2.2 innings allowing 5 runs. The Woodpeckers battled back in the 4th scoring 6 runs on a Schiavone RBI double, Salas hit by pitch, and Luciano grand slam. The pen pitched well until the 9th but in the 9th they allowed 3 runs as the Pelicans walked it off for the 8-7 win.
