AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (37-35)

Game 1 – lost 4-0 (BOX SCORE)

Brown started for Sugar Land and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 5 innings of work. Halligan went 2 innings in relief allowing 1 run. The offense struggled in game one as Sugar Land fell 4-0.

  • Bryan Lavastida, LF: 1-for-2, 2B

  • Aaron Brown, RHP: 5.0 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 5 BB, 2 K
  • Patrick Halligan, RHP: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 1 K

Game 2 – lost 6-3 (BOX SCORE)

Kouba started for Sugar Land in game two and allowed 4 runs over 2.1 innings. Matthews put Sugar Land on the board in the 3rd with an RBI single. They got another run in the 4th on an error. Tamarez relieved Kouba and allowed 2 runs as the Aviators extended their lead. The offense would get one back in the 6th on a Corona RBI single but that was it as they dropped game two 6-3.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (22-43) lost 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Pecko started for the Hooks but struggled allowing 4 runs over 4.2 innings. The Hooks got on the board on a Cole solo HR in the 5th. Guilfoil allowed 3 runs as the Cardinals extended their lead and the offense was unable to score again as the Hooks fell 7-1.

Note: Cole has a .749 OPS this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (29-36) CANCELED

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (36-30) won 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Howard started for the Woodpeckers and allowed 3 runs over 2.1 innings. He was relieved by Brown who allowed 1 run as the Woodpeckers found themselves down 4-0. The offense got on the board in the 5th on a Trujillo RBI single. The offense picked up 2 runs in the 6th on a Hernandez RBI single and Luciano sac fly. In the 7th, the offense rallied scoring 2 runs on Salas and Villarroel RBI singles to take a 5-4 lead. Rodriguez tossed 4 scoreless in relief and Almonte closed it out with a scoreless 9th as the Woodpeckers won 5-4.

Note: Rodriguez has a 2.17 ERA this season.
