AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (47-24) won 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Gusto started for Sugar Land and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings. The offense got on the board in the 4th inning scoring 4 runs on a Hensley 2 run single, Machado bases loaded walk and a Bastidas groundout. They got another run in the 8th on a Machado RBI single and 2 more in the 9th on an Amaya 2 run single. The pen was great tossing 4 scoreless as they closed out the win. With the win, Sugar Land became the PCL First Half Champions.

Note: Wagner is hitting .309 this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (28-34) won 16-6 (BOX SCORE)

Swanson started for Asheville but struggled allowing 5 runs over 4 innings. The offense got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Carrillo RBI single. In the 4th, Johnson connected on a 2 run HR. The offense blew it open in the 5th scoring 7 runs on a Garcia RBI single, Guillemette single that scored 3 runs, a Johnson solo HR and Sherwin 2 run HR. The offense added 5 more in the 7th on a Carrillo 3 run HR and Deming 2 run single. Johnson added an RBI double in the 8th. The pen closed it out allowing 1 run over the final 5 innings.

Note: Garcia is hitting .297 this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (29-36) won 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first inning on an Ochoa RBI single. Marte got the start and was rolling until the 4th when he allowed 4 runs. After the Shorebird added a run in the 6th, Bush connected on a sac fly in the bottom of the 6th to make it 5-2. The Woodpeckers got 2 runs in the 7th on Ochoa and Jaworsky RBI doubles. In the 8th, the offense rallied for 4 runs on a Gomez 2 run double and 2 runs scoring on a balk. Mejia allowed 1 run over 4 innings in relief and Mercedes tossed a scoreless 9th to pick up the save.

Note: Gomez has 15 doubles this season.
