AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (40-41) lost 9-3 (BOX SCORE)

Blubaugh started for Sugar Land and allowed 4 runs over 5 innings while striking out 9. The offense got on the board getting a run on a double play in the 4th inning. In the 5th, the offense got 2 runs back on a Price 2 run single. The bullpen struggled allowing 5 runs and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 9-3.

Note: Matthews is hitting .285 this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (25-49) won 17-5 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got on the board in the first on a Clarke sac fly and Cole 2 run HR. They exploded for 6 more runs in the 2nd inning on a Williams sac fly, Clarke 3 run HR and another Cole 2 run HR. Austin added a 2 run single in the 3rd inning. Urias got the start and allowed 2 runs over 5 innings. In the 4th inning, Baez connected on a 3 run HR. The offense got 3 more in the 6th on a Sacco sac fly and Ferreras 2 run double. The pen allowed a few runs in relief but held on as the Hooks won 17-5.

Note: Cole has a .806 OPS this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (34-40) lost 13-4 (BOX SCORE)

True got the start for Asheville but struggled allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, over 2.1 innings. The offense got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Gonzalez RBI single and Sullivan 2 run HR. They got another run in the 4th on a Brutcher sac fly. The pen struggled allowing another 8 runs as Asheville fell 13-4.

Note: Sullivan has a .883 OPS this season.

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first scoring 2 runs on an error and Luciano RBI double. They got another run in the 4th on a Valencia solo HR. Palmer got the start and allowed 2 runs over 1.1 innings. Ogando pitched in relief and pitched well allowing 1 unearned run over 5 innings of work. The game went to extras with teams trading runs in the 10th. In the 11th, the GreenJackets got 3 runs as the Woodpeckers fell 7-4.

Note: Ogando has a 3.53 ERA this season.
