AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (36-22) won 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

The offense got on the board in the second on an RBI groundout and a Bastidas 2 run single. They got another run in the 4th on an Amaya solo HR. Gordon got the start and allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work. In the 4th, Amaya added an RBI single to extend the lead. The pen was great tossing 4 scoreless innings as they closed out the 4-2 win.

Note: Bastidas has 52 RBI this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (20-32) won 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Bloss started for the Hooks and dominated tossing 6.2 scoreless inning while picking up 3 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 5th scoring 6 runs on a Brewer 2 run HR, Arocho RBI double, Cole 2 run single and Barber RBI single. Brewer added another homer in the 8th to make it 7-0. De Paula allowed a run in the 9th but was able to hold on as the Hooks won 7-1.

Note: Bloss has a 1.98 ERA this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (22-27) lost 8-1 (BOX SCORE)

Calderon started for the Tourists and allowed 4 runs, 3 earned over 3 innings. He was relieved by Molero who allowed a run. Dombroski pitched in relief and allowed 3 runs as the Hot Rods extended their lead. The offense’s lone run came in the 5th on an Encarnacion RBI single. That was it from the offense though as Asheville fell 8-1.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (25-27) lost 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Tredwell started for the Woodpeckers and struggled allowing 2 runs over 3.1 innings while walking 6. The offense got on the board in the third on a Santander RBI triple. The Fireflies scored another run to make it 3-1. In the 7th, Bush added an RBI double to make to 3-2. Santa was great in relief tossing 3 scoreless with 8 strikeouts but the offense was unable to complete the comeback.

Note: Santa has11 K in 5 innings for the Woodpeckers.
