AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (40-22) won 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

The offense got on the board in the 2nd thanks to a Hensley solo HR. In the 3rd, Hummel added an RBI single. Salazar added a solo HR in the 4th to extend the lead. Blubaugh got the start and was solid allowing 1 run over 5 innings of work. The offense blew it open in the 6th scoring 5 runs on a Salazar RBI single, Hamilton 2 run double, a run on a wild pitch and a Kessinger RBI single. The pen allowed a few runs but was able to hold on for the 8-5 win.

Note: Blubaugh has a 3,78 ERA in Triple-A.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (22-34) won 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got on the board in the 2nd inning getting a solo HR from Ferreras. The Hooks got another run in the 3rd inning on a Cole RBI single. Ullola got the start and was solid allowing 1 run over 4.2 innings while striking out 7. The Hooks picked up 2 more runs in the 5th on an error and another RBI single by Cole. The bullpen tossed 4.1 scoreless innings as they closed out the 4-1 win.

Note: Cole is hitting .321 in Double-A.

A+: Asheville Tourists (24-29) lost 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Batista got the start and allowed 4 runs over 5 innings. The offense responded in the first inning getting solo homers from Matthews and Deming. They got another run in the 2nd inning on a Baez RBI single. The Hot Rods extended their lead getting 2 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th. In the bottom of the 6th, the offense got a Matthews RBI single and Baez sac fly. In the 8th, Baez connected on a 2 run HR. Asheville went into the 9th down 8-7 and got two guys on but was unable to come through as they dropped the game on Saturday.

Note: Baez is hitting .291 this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (25-31) lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd inning scoring a run on a Nunez RBI single. Nezuh got the start and struck out 5 over 4 innings while allowing 2 runs. After a scoreless inning from Chirinos, Pecko came in and was great striking out 4 over 3 scoreless innings. Unfortunately the offense was unable to score again as the Woodpeckers fell 2-1.

Note: Pecko has a 2.32 ERA this season.
