AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (21-18) won 10-4 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board early scoring 2 runs in the first inning on a Bastidas 2 run single. In the 3rd, they picked up 3 runs on a Whitcomb solo HR, Castro RBI single and Sacco RBI single. Blubaugh got the start and went 3.2 innings allowing 3 runs while striking out 6. In the 5th, Price connected on a 2 run HR to extend the lead. The offense got another run in the 6th on a Matthews sac fly. Castro continued his hot hitting with a 2 run HR in the 7th. The pen closed it out as Sugar Land won 10-4.

Note: Matthews is second in the PCL with 16 stolen bases.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (9-24) lost 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Dombroski started for the Hooks and went 4.2 innings allowing 2 runs with 3 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 3rd on a Barber solo HR. The pen allowed 4 more runs and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as the Hooks fell 6-1.

A+: Asheville Tourists (15-18) won 12-6 (BOX SCORE)

Pena started for Asheville and allowed 3 runs in the first but ended up allowing just those 3 runs over 5 innings. Asheville got the offense going early scoring 3 runs in the first inning on a Gonzalez RBI single, Gomez RBI double and Bush sac fly. In the 2nd inning, Sullivan added a 3 run HR. In the 5th, the offense added 4 more runs on an Austin bases loaded walk, Whitaker RBI single, Jaworsky groundout and Janek sac fly. The offense continued to play add on scoring 2 runs in the 8th on a Sullivan RBI triple and Gonzalez sac fly. The pen allowed a couple of runs but held on for the win.

Note: Sullivan has a .895 OPS this season.

Rodriguez started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing 1 hit and 1 unearned run over 4 innings while striking out 9. After falling behind 3-0, the Woodpeckers rallied for 3 runs in the 6th inning on a Fisher RBI single and Hernandez 2 run double. In the 8th, the Woodpeckers took the lead with a Brutcher steal of home. Cruz closed it out allowing just 1 run over the final 4 innings as the Woodpeckers won 4-3.

Note: Rodriguez has 41 K in 27.1 innings this season.
