AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (25-14) lost 7-4 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first scoring a run in the first inning on a Salazar RBI single. Urquidy made a rehab start for Sugar Land but struggled allowing 3 runs over 2.2 innings. OKC took a commanding lead in the 6th when Gusto gave up a grand slam. In the bottom of the inning, Hensley responded with a 3 run HR. That was it from the offense though as Sugar Land dropped the series finale 7-4.

Note: Hummel has a .847 OPS this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (11-22) won 14-6 (BOX SCORE)

Knorr started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing 1 run over 4 innings while striking out 6. Correa put the Hooks on the board with a solo HR in the 2nd inning. In the 4th, Espinosa gave the Hooks the lead with a 2 run single. They got 2 more runs in the 5th on RBI singles from Ferreras and Daniels. Gomez tossed 3 scoreless in relief. The Hooks blew things open in the 8th scoring 9 runs on a Wrobleski RBI single, Sacco bases loaded walk, Arocho RBI single, Price RBI single, Ferreras bases loaded walk, Correa RBI single, Espinosa 2 run HR and a run scoring on a groundout.

Note: Gomez has 1.98 ERA this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (13-19) lost 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Batista started for Asheville and allowed 2 runs over 3.2 innings. He was relieved by Cobos who allowed 1 run over 3.1 innings. The offense got on the board in the 5th on an Encarnacion sac fly. They got another run in the 7th on a Garcia RBI double and then tied things in the 8th on a Johnson solo HR. The Dash retook the lead in the bottom of the 8th but in the top of the 9th, Asheville tied it on a Cruz RBI single. The game went to extras and in the bottom of the 10th, the Dash walked it off as they won 5-4.

Note: Williams is hitting .347 this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (18-15) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Pena started for the Woodpeckers and allowed 3 runs over 4 innings of work. The Woodpeckers got on the board in the bottom of the third on a Jaworsky bases loaded walk. In the 5th, Luciano added an RBI double. After the Mudcats scored 2 runs in the top of the 6th, the Woodpeckers scored 2 on a Jaworski solo HR and another run on a balk. The Mudcats extended their lead in the 8th but a Jaworsky solo HR got Fayetteville within a run again. The Woodpeckers loaded the bases with no outs in the 9th but were unable to come through as they dropped the series finale 6-5.

Note: Jaworsky has a .959 OPS in May.
