AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (23-18) won 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the bvoard in the first inning on a Short solo HR. Ullola got the start and was solid allowing 2 runs over 4 innings while striking out 8. Tamarez allowed 4 runs in relief as Sugar Land found themselves down 6-1. The offense rallied for 5 runs in the 7th on a Short RBI single, Whitcomb 3 run HR and Bastidas RBI single. In the 9th, Reno took the lead with a run. In the bottom of the inning, Whitcomb came through again with a big hit connecting on a walk-off 2 run HR as Sugar Land won 8-7.

Note: Whitcomb leads the PCL with 13 home runs this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (10-25) lost 12-9 (BOX SCORE)

Fleury got the start but lasted just one inning allowing 2 runs. The Hooks got on the board in the 2nd inning on Lavastida solo HR. In the 4th, the Hooks picked up 2 more runs on a Wrobleski RBI triple and Encarnacion RBI groundout. They got one more in the 5th on an error and 2 runs in the 6th on a Sherwin RBI double and a wild pitch. A Deming 3 runs HR in the 7th gave the Hooks a 9-4 lead. The pen struggled late though allowing 1 run in the 8th and 7 runs in the 9th as the Hooks feel 12-9.

Note: Santa has a 1.42 ERA this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (15-20) lost 6-3 (BOX SCORE)

Mayer started for Asheville and pitched well striking out 7 over 4.1 innings allowing just 1 run. Linskey and Swiney struggled in relief allowing 5 runs as the Hot Rods extended their lead. The offense got on the board in the 7th on a Jaworsky RBI double and Spence bases loaded walk. They got another run in the 8th on a passed ball but that would be it from the offense as the Tourists fell 6-3.

Note: Mayer has 39 K in 26 innings this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (17-17) lost 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got the scoring started getting a run in the 2nd inning on a Valencia RBI single. Rodriguez got the start but struggled a bit allowing 3 runs over 3.1 innings. The offense got 2 more runs in the 4th on a Fisher RBI double and Valencia RBI single. In the 5th, Carrillo added a 2 run double. Frias came on in relief and allowed 4 runs and Ras allowed a run as the Mudcats extended their lead. The offense was silent the rest of the way as the Woodpeckers fell 8-5.

Note: Brutcher is hitting .320 this season.
