Ullola started for Sugar Land and pitched really well tossing 5 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit. Price put Sugar Land on the board in the 4th inning on an RBI single. Price added 2 more runs in the 8th on a 2 run double.

Sullivan started off the game well connecting on a leadoff homer, his 5th of the year. Bello got the start but struggled allowing 4 runs over 4.1 innings of work. The offense got another run in the 3rd on a Gonzalez sac fly. They picked up another in the 5th on a Gonzalez RBI single. Apker allowed a run in relief and the offense was unable to score again as Asheville dropped game one 5-3.

In the 5th, Asheville took the lead on a Guillemette solo HR. They got 2 more runs in the 6th on a wild pitch and a Gonzalez RBI double. Perez allowed 2 runs in relief but held on for the 4-3 win.
