AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (9-16) won 5-3 (BOX SCORE)
Fleury started for the Hooks and was great again going 6 innings allowing 1 run while striking out 6. The Hooks got on the board in the 4th on a Jordan 2 run HR. In the 6th they got 2 more runs on a Castro RBI single and Sherwin sac fly. Cole played add on in the 8th when he stole third and scored on a throwing error. Torres closed the game out allowing 1 run over the final 2 innings as he picked up the save.

Asheville got on the board in the first on a Gonzalez RBI single. They got another run in the 3rd on a Nunez RBI double. Swiney started for Asheville and allowed 1 run over 2.2 innings. He was relieved by Almonte who allowed 5 runs over 1.1 innings. In the 4th inning, Bush connected on a 3 run HR, his 3rd HR of the season. The offense added 2 more runs in the 5th inning on a Vogel sac fly and Austin RBI single. Jaworsky added a 2 run single in the 6th inning to extend the lead. Linskey pitched in relief tossing 3 scoreless innings. Asheville picked up another run in the 8th on a Nunez solo HR. Chrinos allowed 4 runs in the 8th as the Drive tied the game. In the 10th, Asheville picked up a couple of runs on Nunez and Gonzalez sac flies and Gomez capped it off with a 3 run HR.

Valencia tied the game in the 6th on a 2 run double. The Shorebirds got a run in the 8th to take the lead and the offense was unable to score again as the Woodpeckers fell 5-4.
