AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (35-19) won 10-9 (BOX SCORE)

Bastidas got the scoring started with a leadoff homer. Lauer started for Sugar Land but struggled allowing 7 runs over 3 innings. The offense would rally in the 3rd scoring 9 runs on a Hensley 2 run single, a run on an error, Berryhill RBI single, Loperfido bases loaded walk, Wagner sac fly, Whitcomb hit by pitch and Hummel 2 run double. The bullpen pitched well with four of the five reliever tossing scoreless outings as they closed out the 10-9 win.

Note: Wagner has 37 BB to 20 SO this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (20-27) lost 15-2 (BOX SCORE)

Urias started for Asheville but really struggled allowing 10 runs, 9 earned over 3 innings of work. The offense got on the board in the 4th on a Johnson 2 run HR. Guedez pitched in relief allowing 3 runs over 4 innings with 6 strikeouts. Molero had a scoreless outing in relief but initial onslaught from the Grasshoppers was too much to overcome as Asheville fell 15-2.

Note: Guedez has 44 K in 37.1 innings this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (23-25) won 1-0 (BOX SCORE)

Santos started for Fayetteville and pitched really well striking out 6 over 5 scoreless innings. The offense got on the board in the first inning scoring a run on a fielder’s choice. Pena relieved Santos and also pitched great tossing 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts as he closed out the 1-0 win.

Note: Santos has a 3.20 ERA this season.
