AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (32-22) won 8-1 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got the scoring started in the first inning on a Whitcomb 2 run HR, his 18th HR of the season. They got another run in the 3rd on a Guillorme RBI groundout. In the 5th, Matthews added an RBI double to extend the lead. Alexander started for Sugar Land and allowed just 1 run over 6 innings. The offense blew it open in the 8th getting 4 runs on a Matthews solo HR and Price 3 run HR.

Note: Matthews is hitting .556 over his last seven games.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (17-31) won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got on the board in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs on a Cerny RBI single and Lavastida RBI single. Dombroski got the start for the Hooks and pitched well allowing 2 runs over 5 innings while striking out 6. In the 7th, the Hooks took the lead on a Lavastida RBI single. Santa relieved Dombroski and tossed 3 perfect innings with 3 strikeouts. Knorr closed it out in the 9th as he struck out the side and the Hooks won 3-2.

Note: Santa has a 1.05 ERA this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (21-28) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville got on the board with 2 runs in the first on a Guillemette RBI single and Carrillo sac fly. Asheville got another run in the 6th on another Guillemette RBI single. Brito started for the Tourists and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned over 5.1 innings. The pen was solid forcing extra innings but in the 10th, the Emperors walked it off as Asheville fell 4-3.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (25-23) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 3rd inning scoring 2 runs on a Villarroel 2 run single. Rosario started for the Woodpeckers and allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work. After a scoreless innings from Mercedes, Tredwell came in and tossed 5 perfect innings to close out the 2-1 win.

Note: Tredwell has a 3.06 ERA this season.
