AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (22-11) won 12-5 (BOX SCORE)

Gordon started for Sugar Land and allowed 3 runs over 3.1 innings. The offense’s first run came on a Berryhill RBI groundout in the 3rd. Sugar Land entered the 7th inning down 3-1 but broke the game open rallying for 8 runs on a Hamilton 2 run HR, Hensley walk, Kessinger 2 run single, Bastidas sac fly and Julks 2 run HR. They picked up 3 more in the 8th on a Bastidas RBI single and Leon 2 run double. King allowed a couple runs in relief but Suero closed it out striking out 4 in 1.1 innings.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (8-19) lost 5-3 (BOX SCORE)

Bloss made his Double-A debut for the Hooks and was dominant tossing 6 scoreless innings with 6 strikeout allowing just 2 hits. He was relieved by Knorr who went 2 innings allowing 5 runs, though just 1 was earned. The Hooks rallied back for 3 runs in the 8th on an Arocho RBI single and Stevens 2 run double. The Hooks put two on in the bottom of the 9th but were unable to come through as the Hooks lost 5-3.

Asheville got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Deming RBI single. They got another in the 4th on a Ferreras RBI single. Swanson started for Asheville and went 4.1 innings allowing 3 runs, with 2 scoring after he was pulled. Molero relieved Swanson and struggled allowing 5 runs in 1 inning as the Drive extended their lead. The offense picked up 10 hits and 3 walks but was unable to score again as they fell 9-2.

Tredwell started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings while striking out 6. The offense got on the board in the 4th scoring 3 runs on a wild pitch, an Encarnacion groundout and a Bush bases loaded walk. They got some insurance in the 7th on a Carrillo sac fly and Gomez RBI groundout. Austin tossed 2 scoreless in relief and Mercedes closed it out with a perfect 9th as Fayetteville won 5-2.
