Shane Bieber outshined Shohei Ohtani in his World Series debut. Bieber, a former Cy Young Award winner, returned from Tommy John surgery two months ago. He led Toronto to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, tying the World Series at two games each. Bieber struck out Ohtani twice while allowing one run and four hits in 5 1/3 innings. Bieber was traded by Cleveland to Toronto at the July 31 deadline for minor league right-hander Khal Stephen.
