First baseman Josh Naylor and the Seattle Mariners have finalized a $92.5 million, five-year contract. Naylor gets a $6.5 million signing bonus payable within 120 days of the deal’s approval by the commissioner’s office and salaries of $10 million next season, $16 million in 2027. $18 million in 2028, $20 million in 2029 and $22 million in 2030. The 28-year-old became a free agent following a season in which the Mariners lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series. In 54 games with the Mariners, Naylor hit .299 with nine home runs, 33 RBIs and 19 stolen bases.
