Jose Urquidy occupies the tough terrain atop the mound at Coors field as the Astros try to stem the skid.

It was another humiliating loss for the Astros, who have lost 8 of their last 9 and are currently in LAST place in the AL West at 7-9.

But as I wrote the headline to this Thread I felt a glimmer of hope.

Sixteen or Seventeen games does not a full season of baseball make.

Any and every team can and will have a stretch like this, it’s just more painful and noticeable at the beginning of the season (and the very end if you’re in the pennant race).

Jose Urquidy gets the nod today. Let’s see how he fares in the mile-high atmosphere of chilly Denver, Colorado.

His opponent is Austin Gomber, who had a quality start in his last outing against the Dodgers.
