Astros go for the Gusto. Take on the Pirates for a series win and a three game winning streak
The Astros stole one from the Pirates and one of MLB’s best pitchers last night, thanks to even better pitching by one of only two 2017 remaining Astros, Lance McCullers Jr.
If you think the Astros have problems with their rotational depth, look at what the Pirates are throwing up there. Mike Burrows has 11.2 career innings with a 6.94 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP. But if history teaches us anything, this is the kind of pitcher who stifles Houston batters. Hopefully not tonight.
Look at the speed in the outfield. Jake, Cam, and speedy rookie in his third game, Jacob Melton. Looks like Joe Espada reads the Crawfish Boxes. Vballretired said end the Altuve in left experiment, and so far that’s mostly what we’ve seen.
