Blue Jays manager John Schneider says injured designated hitter George Springer is on track to play in Game 6 of the World Series. Schneider says Springer was actually close to playing in Game 5 on Wednesday night. Springer strained muscles on his right side while taking a swing in Game 3. The 36-year-old slugger immediately left the game after the swing. Schneider said Thursday that Springer had “kind of checked every box physically so far” and is in position to play in the potential clincher against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.
