Jen Pawol is back in the big leagues umpiring another game. She made history this month as Major League Baseball’s first female umpire. This weekend, she’s part of the crew in Pittsburgh for the three-game series between the Pirates and Colorado Rockies. On Friday night, Pawol was at second base. She is scheduled to work first base on Saturday and then be behind the plate Sunday when Pirates ace and NL Cy Young Award contender Paul Skenes takes the mound. Pawol’s presence marks a significant moment in MLB history.
