Joe Buck has been awarded the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting by baseball’s Hall of Fame. He joins his father, Jack Buck, as the only father-son duo to receive this honor. Buck will receive the award during the Hall’s July 25 awards presentation. At 56, he becomes the second-youngest winner, behind Vin Scully. Buck’s career includes calling World Series games from 1996 to 2021, working with Fox. The award requires 10 years of continuous experience, and the ballot is selected by a committee of past winners and historians.
