Incredible. A lot of hard work [is] paying off. Just grateful that it showed up today kind of all together. It was a lot of fun. — Meyers
Houston just completed a six-game road trip, winning two-of-three each against the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cleveland Guardians. In Houston’s latest win, on Saturday, they needed 10 innings to defeat Cleveland by a 5-3 final score. Josh Hader (2-0, 1.29) earned the win, and Bennett Sousa pitched a hitless 10th for his first save. Hunter Brown struck out nine over 5 1⁄3 innings, walking five and allowing one run on four hits. Yainer Diaz (8) hit a home, and was the only Astros player to finish with more than one hit.
It took everyone, it took every pitch, every at-bat for us to win this game. Another series win on the road with a chance to sweep tomorrow against a really good team. — Joe Espada

Tyler Alexander (3-6, 5.95) took the loss in relief. while Miguel Vargas hit a two-run homer in the first. Vargas totaled three RBI on the day, but the Sox only collected four hits in total.
