1967 – Don Wilson no-no
A 22-year-old Don Wilson completes his first career no-hitter, striking out Atlanta Braves slugger Hank Aaron to finish a 2-0 win. While it is the third no-hitter in Houston Astros history, it not only is the first no-hitter to end in a shutout, but it is also the first no-hitter thrown in the Astrodome.
1972 – Jerry Reuss’ gem
Astros pitcher Jerry Reuss allowed just one hit, a ninth-inning double, in a 10-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. This marked Reuss’ one and only shutout of the year. The Astros got most of their help offensively from Cesar Cedeno, who finished with four hits, two of them doubles and one of them a bomb.
2001 – Bagwell and Berkman do the damage
Lance Berkman and Jeff Bagwell tally four RBI each in a 13-5 domination of the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies did manage to end the game with more hits than the Astros, outhitting them 14-12, but still lost by eight runs.
2015 – Correa steals the show
Newly called-up Astros shortstop Carlos Correa became the second youngest player in MLB history to steal three bags in a game, doing it at 20 years old. The only person to do it younger was Rickie Henerdson, who accomplished this feat for the first time when he was just 18 days younger than Correa.
