1975 – Astros hold on to win
After a six-run inning to take the lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Houston Astros preserve the lead thanks to Wayne Granger pitching the final 2.2 innings to give Houston the 6-5 win. The game ended when Granger picked the runner off at third for the final out.
1986 – Glenn Davis saves the day
Glenn Davis completes the comeback against the Cincinnati Reds with a two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth to complete a 7-6 win. Larry Andersen gets the win without facing a single batter when he throws a wild pitch to the first batter he faces and tags the runner out at home for the final out of the game.
1995 – Derek Bell day
Astros outfielder Derek Bell capped off his four-hit day with a game-winning RBI to give the Astros a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs in 12 innings. The Astros tied it in the bottom of the ninth to bring the game to extras before Bell finished it.
