In the Houston Astros first game ever played outside of the US, the team heads up North to play the Montreal Expos, leading to a massive 10-3 beating. Astros infielder Doug Rader has a day at the plate, driving in three to help his team win.
1988 – Ryan goes the distance
In his first complete game in over two years, Astros starter Nolan Ryan goes the distance in a 8-2 win over the Chicago Cubs. Glenn Davis drives in four while Gerald Young provides four hits for the team.
2009 – Hits all around
Every person in the Astros starting lineup, including their starter Mike Hampton, gets at least two hits in an Astros 15-11 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Their 24 hits comes one shy of a club record.
