1979 – Cards dugout gets thrown out
After protesting a call made by substitute umpire Dave Pallone by throwing helmets and bats, the entire bench for the St. Louis Cardinals get thrown out. The only reason that he was umping the game was due to the umpire strike happening in the MLB.
2007 – Woody Williams first Astros win
After a 14-year career, playing for three different teams, Houston native Woody Williams, who signed a one-year contract at 40-years-old, got his first win of the season in his eighth appearance. He helped himself out with the game-winning hit with a bloop single into right, getting the 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
2019 – Rain and thunder in Houston
On a day that included rain that was seeping through the roof of the stadium, Josh Reddick helped lead the Houston Astros to a 4-2 win over the Texas Rangers. Not only did he hit a game-tying single, he also robbed former-Astro Hunter Pence of a potential three-run bomb.
