Aggies add a versatile piece to 2026 recruiting class
Texas A&M hosted another important list of football recruits on official visits this weekend, and it paid immediate dividends in the form of a commitment by three-star Fort Bend Marshall athlete Kaeden Johnson.

Johnson plays QB for Fort Bend Marshall, but at 6’5” and 215 pounds, he has the frame to project at several different positions. Word on the street seems to be that the Aggies like him at tight end. Things moved quickly once A&M showed real interest, with a scholarship offer coming on Wednesday, Johnson arriving for his official visit on Thursday and committing on Saturday.
According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Johnson is the No. 989 player nationally, the No. 59 QB and the No. 150 player in Texas. But his frame and athleticism certainly makes him an intriguing prospect, even if he wouldn’t be expected to make an immediate impact once he arrives on campus.
The Aggies currently have the No. 6 recruiting class nationally, according to 247 Sports, with a total of 15 commits. Mike Elko looks to secure his second straight top 10 recruiting class as his rebuild in Aggieland continues.
