Notre Dame announced on Monday the game times for its 2025 home schedule. The home slate features three primetime matchups against Texas A&M, USC, and Navy, marking the first time that Notre Dame has hosted three night games since the 2018 season. All told, the Irish will host seven opponents in Notre Dame Stadium in the upcoming season. Six of the games will be broadcast on NBC, while the Oct. 11 contest vs. NC State will be broadcast on Peacock.
Notre Dame Announces Game Times
The Irish’s home opener is against Texas A&M on Sept. 13. The game fulfills the home-and-home series that began last season when Notre Dame (ranked No. 7 at the time) defeated the Aggies (ranked 20th at the time) 23-14 in College Station. The win was the first for Notre Dame against a ranked SEC opponent since a win over Tennessee (No. 9) in 2004. Notre Dame’s home opener will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Notre Dame remains at home the following week to face in-state rival Purdue at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 20 in the battle for the Shillelagh Trophy. The last meeting with the Boilermakers resulted in a romping 66-7 Irish victory. It was the worst loss in Purdue’s history. And it was Notre Dame’s highest point total and largest margin of victory in the 88-game series against Purdue. The Irish-Boilermakers series started in 1896. It is the third-most prolific in Notre Dame history with 88 meetings. It trails just Navy (97) and USC (95). Notre Dame holds a 60-26-2 advantage in the series.
2025 Schedule: Boise State a First-Time Opponent for Notre Dame
The Irish return home Oct. 4 for a three-game stint in South Bend, beginning with Boise State, a first-time opponent. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Notre Dame is 6-1 in first-time meetings with opponents in Notre Dame Stadium. Boise State went 12-2 during the 2024 season, and the Broncos finished the season ranked 8th on the Associated Press poll.
On Oct. 11, the Irish will host NC State. Notre Dame will then play host to USC in the annual Jeweled Shillelagh rivalry game on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The matchup marks the 96th meeting between the two storied programs. The Irish are 7-2 against the Trojans in the last nine meetings. Notre Dame’s annual matchup with Navy takes place on Nov. 8. The meeting will mark the first time that Notre Dame and Navy have met in a night game at Notre Dame Stadium. Notre Dame defeated Navy 51-14 last season at MetLife Stadium. Led by quarterback Riley Leonard and running back Jeremiyah Love, the Irish scored on the opening drive of that game and never looked back, cruising to a comfortable win over the 24th-ranked Midshipmen. Notre Dame’s 2025 home schedule concludes with a 3:30 p.m. ET game vs. Syracuse on Senior Day, Nov. 22.
