One of the biggest running back dominoes has finally fallen. After a long recruiting battle between Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, and Alabama, four-star running back Jordon Davison has made his decision. On Friday, Davison announced that he has committed to Oregon. According to 247Sports, Davison is the 12th-best running back in the nation. Rivals are higher on Davison, listing him as a five-star and the second-best back.
Davison marks the 12th commit for Oregon and the second running back in the class.

Jordon Davison Joins the Oregon 2025 Recruiting Class
A five-foot-eleven, 205-pound running back from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, Davison has been widely regarded as one of the top talents at the position for quite some time. 247Sports has noted a few times that they’ve been watching Davison since middle school.
Davison does just about everything right on the field. As a runner, he has the burst to hit the home run shot, the shiftiness to make a defender miss, and the power to drive through arm tackles. He has great vision and can set up his blockers with patience in the backfield. Davison is quite decisive as a runner as well.
He’s also a considerable receiver out of the backfield. Davison is able to line up as a slot receiver in addition to taking running back screens the distance. What will help him get on the field sooner is his pass-blocking ability. He’s a strong and willing blocker and will be quite the three-down back at the Power 4 level.
He broke out as a sophomore in 2022. In total, according to MaxPreps, Davison ran for 1,514 yards and 17 touchdowns. He topped 100 yards in a game seven times and even scored on a 99-yard touchdown against Sant Margarita. Davison suffered a lower-body injury last year, so his productivity took a hit. Even then, he totaled 662 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He was named the running back MVP at Rivals‘ Los Angeles camp in March.
