Safe to say his NFL Draft stock continues to rise
The NFL Scouting Combine is going on this week, and unsurprisingly, Texas A&M DE Shemar Stewart is putting on a show. Aggie DC Jay Bateman said in the preseason that Stewart looked like “what a DE would look like if you designed them in a lab,” and that has played out in the pre-draft process.
On Thursday, Stewart participated in the 40-yard dash, the vertical jump and the broad jump, and was a standout performer in each.
Shemar Stewart stats:
- 40-yard dash: 4.59 seconds (4th among DEs)
- 10-yard split: 1.58 seconds (3rd among DEs)
- Vertical: 40” (2nd among DEs)
- Broad: 10’11” (1st amond DEs)
Shemar Stewart is a DE prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.99 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 3 out of 1802 DE from 1987 to 2025.

Stewart had already risen into the first round of most mock drafts before the combine thanks to an outstanding Senior Bowl performance. Following his results at the Combine, he might even rise into the top 10 by the time the Draft arrives at the end of April.
