Make that three straight SEC series wins for the surging Ags

Texas A&M baseball’s hot streak continued this weekend, as the Aggies took two of three games on the road against No. 2 Arkansas on Thursday and Friday. The Ags have now won seven of their last eight SEC games, and sit at 8-10 in conference play after starting 1-9.

A&M won the series opener on Thursday night on the back of five innings of shutout relief pitching from Weston Moss, and then split the Friday double-header thanks to yet another elite bullpen performance: 3.2 innings of shutout ball by Luke Jackson.

You also can’t talk about this series without mentioning Jace LaViolette, who belted four home runs in three games to pace an A&M offense who continues to make every game winnable.

The Aggies now find themselves squarely back in the NCAA Tournament picture, which seemed unthinkable just two short weeks ago. They’ll host Sam Houston on Tuesday before a much-anticipated series against Jim Schlossnagle and the Texas Longhorns in Austin beginning on Friday night.
