On May 5th, in-state linebacker Jase Reynolds committed to Nebraska. Since his pledge, the Huskers have had very little movement on the recruiting trail. However, this could all change for Matt Rhule in June. The program is set to bring several top targets to Lincoln next month. Let’s break down who they are.
Devin Jackson
The four-star safety committed to the Florida Gators last July. This was primarily due to his close relationship with secondaries coach Will Harris. However, Jackson was forced to back off his pledge in April. This began when Harris left Florida to accept the same position at Miami. Since his departure, Jackson scheduled visits with LSU, Oregon and Miami. The Huskers are also a frontrunner. Defensive backs coach Addison Williams has labelled him as a high-priority target. Their relationship isn’t solid quite yet. But the Cornhuskers do have their foot in the door. According to On3, Nebraska has a 3.7% chance of winning his recruitment. It will be interesting to see if the Huskers can build momentum on June 20. The 6-foot-2 safety has attracted attention from almost every major program. This is due to his fantastic junior season at First Academy. In 10 games, Jackson totaled 80 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. If his production increases in his senior season, Jackson could see his stock increase even more.
Lincoln Watkins
Nebraska tight ends coach Marcus Satterfield has had a rough start convincing prospects to join the Huskers’ 2026 recruiting class. Four-star Camden Jensen cancelled his visit to Lincoln and committed to UCLA instead. Omaha North product Issac Jensen isn’t visiting either. Instead, the three-star prospect will visit Texas A&M on June 20. If he went elsewhere, this would demolish Nebraska’s in-state recruiting success. And the Huskers would also lose a highly touted prospect. According to Rivals, Jensen is ranked as the second overall player in the state. However, the Cornhuskers could change their luck by getting Watkins to commit. The four-star tight end announced that the Cornhuskers and the Florida Gators will get visits from him before his decision. This would be a huge get for offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen. His 6-foot-4, 228-pound frame would add more length to the Huskers’ tight end room alongside Carter Nelson and Luke Lindenemeyer. And with the right coaching, he can become a major talent. In his junior season at Port Huron, Watkins caught 17 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown.
Leon Noil Jr
Nebraska hasn’t landed an offensive line prospect in its 2026 recruiting class. However, it seems the Huskers could have a spot for Noil. The Louisiana native has scheduled visits with UCF, Baylor, and UCF. In addition, the three-star will visit Nebraska on June 12. Donovan Raiola has a chance to make a solid impression here. The program has done its homework in the transfer portal. This began with the addition of former Notre Dame right guard Rocco Spindler. Former Alabama left guard Elijah Pritchett is also set to make an impact. Before arriving in Lincoln, he played in 29 games for the Crimson Tide. It’s unlikely that Noil Jr would make an immediate impact. However, Raiola could set him up for a starting position later in his career. Justin Evans, Turner Corcoran, and Teddy Prochazka are winding down their Husker careers in Lincoln.

Zavion Griffin-Haynes
The four-star edge rusher from North Carolina was committed to the Tarheels for several months before reopening his recruitment. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder would be an excellent addition to Terry Bradden’s defensive line room at Nebraska. In his career at Roseville High School, Griffin Haynes totaled 48 tackles and 20 quarterback hurries. It won’t be easy to secure his commitment. In fact, the Huskers will have to make up major ground. Griffin-Haynes has already locked in visits to Clemson, Michigan, and Florida State. He’ll go to Lincoln on June 13. He could have a great visit with Bradden. His NFL experience should excite Griffin-Haynes. But how much good will it do? Nebraska is on the edge of his recruitment, looking inwards.
