Let’s start now.

The NFL schedule was released last week, and most Texans fans didn’t care. Their hearts are full of malaise. Their souls empty. Houston went from talented and let down by a terrible head coach, to now, despairing, depressing, and old.

As a result, most will tune out of this season, watching because it’s just something they do, if they do, with their eyes already on next season. The race for the first overall selection is on. Despite what the Texans say about Davis Mills, and ignoring the Deshaun Watson situation entirely, taking another quarterback is likely, but with the talent dilemma they’re facing, anything and everything is on the table.

Bet online has provided a list of odds for the first overall selection of the 2021 NFL Draft.

1st Overall Draft Pick in the 2022 NFL Draft

Spencer Rattler QB Oklahoma: 5/4

Kayvon Thibodeaux DE Oregon: 11/4

Sam Howell QB North Carolina: 7/2

Malik Willis QB Liberty: 9/1

Tyler Shough QB Texas Tech: 10/1

JT Daniels QB Georgia: 12/1

Derek Stingley Jr. CB LSU: 16/1

Kedon Slovis QB USC: 16/1

Desmond Ridder QB Cincinatti: 20/1

Sevyn Banks CB Ohio State: 25/1

A Texans quarterback named Rattler is sick, regardless of where he went to college. It’s never too late to blow out your bowels for Howell, or atone it it for Slovis, or give up on for Kayvon. With the 2021 season established and becoming a reality, most already have their eyes on 2022.
