Dameon Pierce runs all over the Tennessee Titans

If you’re gonna have a break out game…

For the second time the Tennessee Titans have chosen to wear Houston Oilers uniforms when facing the Houston Texans and for the 2nd time the Texans have made them pay for it. This time tailback Dameon Pierce took it upon himself to shove the ball so far down their throats Amy and the BESFs are probably still choking on pigskin.

Pierce, the Texans 2022 4th round pick, had a very promising rookie season, but faded from view last year prompting Nick Caserio to land star running back Joe Mixon for 2024.

Maybe Pierce just needed to face the Not-The-Oilers every week?

When all the smoke cleared yesterday, Pierce had galloped for 176 yards on 19 attempts with a 9.3 yard average, and a 92-yard touchdown.

While this more than doubled his 2024 totals, it was great to see the 3rd year back save the best for last.

While all the shade thrown at the BESFs for wearing Luv Ya Blue was valid, just and true, watching Joe Mixon celebrate his stablemate’s epic touchdown was proof of which team has a heart of its own.

Even though Houston’s roster remains too beat up to make a deep playoff run, yesterday’s victory over the identity-less, formerly known as the Oilers team is a great exclamation point on the end of Demeco Ryans 2nd season at the helm.

And, hopefully, the 2025 Texans offense can put Pierce and Mixon to use in a 1-2 punch manner that drives the BESFs to the mat again and again.
