Ryan Mallett played four years of college football – one at Michigan and three at Arkansas. He holds the Razorbacks’ all-time single-season passing yards and passing touchdown records along with the single season records for total offense and total touchdowns.

He was a two-time All-SEC Second-Team selection.

After graduating he enjoyed seven years in the NFL before retiring to go into coaching.

He spent two years as an assistant at White Hall High School before being hired as the school’s head coach in 2022.

Our hearts go out to Mallett’s family and loved ones.

UPDATE: Tragically, the superintendent at White Hall has now confirmed Mallett’s passing. RIP.

The Superintendent of White Hall has confirmed Ryan Mallet drowned today while in Florida. We are working on learning more.

Absolutely torn apart by this news.
