Houston guard/forward Sterling Brown was the victim of assault and suffered facial lacerations, the Rockets said in a statement. He did not know his assailants, according to the Rockets’ statement, and is expected to make a full recovery. Brown was jumped outside of a club in Miami late Sunday night, hit in the head with a bottle and needed medical attention into Monday, sources tell The Athletic. Multiple sources with knowledge of the incident said it was a serious altercation. “Thankfully he’s gonna be OK,” head coach Stephen Silas said Monday.
