“The biggest lesson I learned this year is it’s nonstop,” Tate says. “There’s really no days off. You got a heavy hitter every night, so the preparation, the mental preparation, is like no other. Literally, have to be mentally tough to be in his league. I didn’t realize how important that was when Kevin Love came out with it. Just to be here, Year One during a pandemic, I know there’s been times where I’ve had to have help with mental, you know, just being mentally ready and mentally prepared. Like, that’s a big part of it. And that goes a long way.”
