Though the Rockets were happy to add Olynyk when they opted to trade Victor Oladipo at the deadline, Olynyk exceeded every expectation offensively. He was even better around the basket than they might have anticipated, making 73.7 percent of his shots within five feet, and averaging 1.16 points per post up possession, he valuable as a playmaker.
