Best NBA Bets For April 4, 2024

April 4, 2024 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

Steph Curry leads the Warriors in the nba best bets for april 4.

We have a small slate of five NBA games to look forward to today. I have curated the best NBA bets for April 4 for you to jump on. Relax, enjoy the games, and let’s improve on our hot form.

Best NBA Bets For April 4, 2024

Hawks @ Mavericks

Over 230.5 (-110)

The Atlanta Hawks travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks in the second and final game of their inter-conference season series. The previous match ended in a five-point win for the Mavs.

The Mavericks have rounded into form just as the playoffs are about to start. Luka Doncic has been getting triple doubles for fun and setting records in the process.

The Hawks have dealt with so many injuries this season, and it’s a credit to their character as a team that they have stayed competitive in so many games this year.

The Mavs are currently fifth in the West. They are two games off the fourth seed and home advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Mavericks are a bad run of games away from finishing in a play-in spot. Five teams are separated by just two games. The West looks more stacked than last year.

The Mavericks have Dereck Lively II and Josh Green sidelined. The Hawks have Trae Young, Saddiq Bey, and Onyeka Okongwu as absentees for this game.

Both teams will be confident heading into this tie as they are in rich veins of form. The Hawks have won six of their last seven. The Mavs have won seven of their previous eight.

The Mavericks have been scoring points with ease all season. Over the last month, that run has continued. They have scored at least 109 points in 13 of their previous 16 games.

The Hawks have also been a reliable offense despite all the injuries they have dealt with. They have scored at least 110 points in 10 of their previous 11 games.

Both teams are in the top eight in the NBA in offensive rating. Both teams are top 12 in the NBA in pace over the last 10 games. Also, the Hawks are on the second night of a back-to-back; NBA defenses historically are worse on these nights.

In this bet, we’re backing the over as these teams have well-coached offenses that can put up points in bunches.

Warriors @ Rockets

Warriors -3.5 (-110)

The Houston Rockets welcome the Golden State Warriors to the Toyota Center. This will be the third meeting of the season between both sides. The Warriors won the most recent encounter in San Francisco by five points. That took place in November. So you can throw that result out the window. That is basically a different season.

The Rockets have cooled over the past two games. They head into this matchup on a two-game loss streak. They had won 11 straight games before that streak.

The Warriors have figured some things out in recent weeks. They are on a five-game win streak.

The Rockets’ Alperen Sengun and Tari Eason remain out. For the Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton II, and Dario Šarić are game-time decisions.

As mentioned earlier, the Warriors are on a five-game win streak. They have beaten the red-hot Dallas Mavericks, the suffocating Orlando Magic, and the ultra-competitive Miami Heat during this run.

The Rockets have been winning a lot of games over the past few weeks. That run needs a little more nuance though. Those wins came against the Jazz (twice), Thunder (without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander), Trailblazers (twice), Wizards (twice), Spurs (twice), and the Bulls.

This game will have a playoff atmosphere, and we know defense wins you close games. Over the last five, the Warriors are second in the NBA in defensive rating.

In this NBA bet, we are backing the Warriors to eke out the win in a make-or-break game for the Rockets’ season.

Kings @ Knicks

Over 214 (-110)

The Sacramento Kings travel to New York to take on the Knicks in the second game of the season series. The previous game ended in a seven-point win for the Knicks at the Golden 1 Center.

The Knicks are pretty much set to avoid the play-in tournament, barring any late-season slides. They could get home advantage for their first-round matchup, so expect to see them competitive for this game.

The Kings are uncomfortably in seventh in the West. They are dead center of the race for automatic postseason qualification and seeding for the play-in tournament.

The Knicks lost their most recent game against the Heat on the road. The Kings beat the Clippers handily at home. The Knicks are on a three-game loss streak.

The Knicks continue to deal with the absence of OG Anunoby and Julius Randle. They have Mitchell Robinson and Josh Hart as game-time decisions. The Kings currently have Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter listed as out.

The Knicks have been scoring points with ease over the past five games. They are first in offensive rating in the NBA during that span. They are averaging 121.2 points. The Kings are top 12 in the NBA in offensive rating over the past five games.

During this run of games, both teams are top 12 in three point attempts and three point percentage.

In this bet, back the over.

These are my best NBA bets for April 4, 2024. Let’s repeat some recent successes.

Good luck with your bets.
