The Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets series has been incredible. On one hand, the young and inexperienced Rockets want to show that they belong. On the other hand, the Warriors’ experienced veterans are attempting to make what may be their last championship run. Adding to the drama is that these teams do not like each other. Houston saved their playoff lives with a dominant Game 5 performance, but now the series returns to the Bay for Game 6, where Golden State hopes to finish things off. Here are some of the best player props and Warriors-Rockets Game 6 bets to make for this epic showdown Friday night.
Best Player Props For Warriors-Rockets Game 6 Bets
*All Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets Game 6 player props are courtesy of Bovada as of Thursday afternoon.
Fred VanVleet: Over 15.5 points (-108)
We are going to ride this bet again. Before Game 5, we predicted that Fred VanVleet had found his scoring touch. For Wednesday’s game, his scoring total was 13.5, which he blew out of the water. The guard was a key offensive figure, scoring 26 points, his highest point total of the series so far.
VanVleet’s number has now adjusted to 15.5, but we still like the over as one of the best Warriors-Rockets prop bets for Game 6. Over the last three games, the veteran point guard has notched 17, 25, and 26 points. Although we expect Golden State’s defense to be keyed in on Friday, VanVleet has emerged as the second most reliable scorer on Houston, and 16 points seems like an incredibly reasonable number for him to reach.
Stephen Curry: Over 9.5 rebounds/assists (-120)
Stephen Curry has had some big Game 6 moments in closeouts. We are expecting another big night from him on Friday. That said, betting on the superstar’s scoring output can always be risky. At times in this series, the Rockets’ defense has decided to force the ball out of Curry’s hands, making the rest of the Warriors beat them.
That doesn’t mean Curry won’t contribute in every other way. Curry is one of the most underrated rebounding guards ever, and we expect him to be active on the boards. He has notched at least 10 rebounds/assists combined in three of the five matches this series, and a closeout game at home will not be the game we bet against him reaching that number again.
Jalen Green: Under 15.5 points (-113)
Jalen Green has shown that he is not quite ready for the bright lights. The Warriors have more or less taken him entirely out of the series, besides a scoring explosion in Game 2. Outside of that, Green has only reached double-digit points once.
We aren’t expecting another big scoring night from Green, and Game 6 should be a defensive battle. The Warriors know that Houston’s offense becomes all the more formidable when Green gets going. They will do whatever it takes to ensure his Game 2 scorcher doesn’t happen again. We like the Green under as one of our favorite Warriors-Rockets Game 6 bets.
