Giannis Had A 2-Word Reaction To Kevin Durant’s Trade

June 24, 2025 by The Spun

The 5 Craziest Trades In NBA History (2:14)

Kevin Durant switching teams out West marks the first of what could be many shifts to the NBA landscape over the next several months. And one of the league’s biggest stars has taken notice…

After the Phoenix Suns dealt KD to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and a handful of draft picks, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo (whose also been the subject of offseason trade rumors) reacted to the move on X.

“Oh oh,” the two-time MVP said.

Fans quickly began reading into the Greek Freak’s post in the aftermath of the move.

“Come team up with kd,” a user replied.

“you next big dawg,” another said.

“GIANNIS IS A WARRIOR LFGGGGGGG,” a Golden State fan exclaimed.

“you would look good in a suns uni,” another person commented.

“Rich Paul was on Pat McAfee a few weeks ago and subtly said to watch out for Durant and Giannis ending up on the same team this summer…” another user noted.

“hollon what that mean?” another fan asked.

“Dude is such a troll,” a Bucks fan posted.

“Giannis must be watching a replay of the Jazz/Rockets 1997 WCF game 6.”

Time will tell if the Bucks end up letting go of their franchise player. But as for KD, he sees his situation as a best case scenario for both sides.

“I mean, they wanted me to go. I’m glad they got what they wanted and I got what I wanted, so good luck to them,” the 15-time All-Star said.

Durant now joins a team primed to be a force for years to come; and also becomes the third and final member of OKC’s original Big 3 to put on a Rockets uniform at some point in their career.
